You can replace the incompatible module with ESP-12 or ESP-07. Besides the module, this process will require a heat gun, soldering tools and moderate soldering skill.

This is the first product from the Grid Connect Range From Bunnings I have come across which is NOT an ESP device, Hopefully not a trend. Looks to be Pin-for-Pin replaceable with esp12 style configuration, Will Investigate further at another time.
